What you learn
Facial anatomy and safety
Muscles, vessels and danger zones, taught with the landmarks you will use on the day.
Consultation and consent
Assessment, contraindications, informed consent and realistic expectations.
Upper face toxin
Frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet: dosing, placement and review.
Dermal filler foundations
Lips, nasolabial folds and cheek support with needle and cannula.
Complications
Recognition and first response, including vascular occlusion and hyaluronidase.

Entry requirements
- Current New Zealand registration and annual practising certificate

Questions about this programme
Will I be ready to inject on my own afterwards?
You will be ready to begin supervised practice. Your logbook gives your standing-order prescriber the evidence they need to assess you; independent practice follows at their direction.
How many models will I treat?
It depends on the models available and their clinical needs on the day. Every trainee treats live models on both days, with an educator beside them.
Do I need my own insurance?
Yes. Please have professional indemnity insurance that covers aesthetic injecting before your practical days.
